Uh, yeah Nintendo would make the game without Sakurai. Infact, they almost made Brawl without him. He signed on only after the game was announced. His involvement is not critical.

I would still disagree. Without Sakurai, they would have made Melee with online (as in the same game plus online for it). They really wanted him on board.

heres hoping they offer a Smash Bros. channel where you can download extra content for the game with Wii Points, new characters, stages etc.

I'm expecting a new smash in around 3 or 2 years. I think another smash game deserves to show up on the Wii :p

Given how big the Smash Bros fanbase is, it's actually obvious many would love a new Smash Bros, but I doubt Nintendo would make a 2nd Wii Smash Bros just because the fans demands it.
