Jon Stewart should come on some of these shows.

Remember what he did to Crossfire?

That was so awesome how he crushed both hosts.

And so yet another reviewer comes out about their anti-Wii bias.

By now, people should have gotten the picture: the entire review industry has abused the trust gamers have put in it, and the lot of them deserve to be fired for gross unprofessionalism. Raze the whole industry to the ground and start it anew, with actual gamers rather than these fratboys.

He has a right to his opinion, but you are so on the money. It's because of what he did in that interview that everyone sees the game industry, and the reviewers, as being run by immature frat boys. I'm not going to take what he said about the Wii personally, I like the system, he does not. Fair enough. But to hear someone say "The truth comes out!" about his deep hate for the system, and him not denying it, kind of shows he no doubt had a hard time keeping that bias in check when reviewing games or the system as a whole.

And his comment about how Mario Galaxy is a great game but should've been controlled by dual analog? Idiot. Every 3D Mario only use one analog anyway, and the controls were awesome. They didn't force the Wiimote controls down your throat on that game. And for me, it was fun picking up starbits on the screen with the pointer as you flew through space. But again, he is so anti-Wii that even when the controls compliment the game, he won't give it any props.

It really has been a bad week for Wii hate, hasn't it?

Plus its only Wednesday :(

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

How unprofessional... but if you think about it, maybe he still has his job because he creates flamewars and a lot of traffic to the site. On the other side, I don't even know who he is...

You know, this would never fly in general journalism (except for the limited vocabulary -- you have to write dumb so people understand you and it stunts your mind).

I am not saying there are not biases. But video game journalists far more resemble talk radio than the nightly news.

I covered sports for newspapers for 15 years. I cannot imagine anyone who I worked with going public talking about how stupid a team was (not how stupid their decisions might be) while (a) still covering the sport and (b) that team sitting in first place.

A lot of these people don't get there is a different way to play games. If you don't like the Wii, that is fine. But if it your job to cover the game industry, should you really be yelling that one company "sucks" from the highest tree?

Paradigm shifts leave people behind. What will they do when they need to play Halo 4 on the Natal Xbox?

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

If someone is looking for a sig, that's a great line to use (just include his name for crediting).

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

" But the other systems are moving the industry forward with Fallout 3, Dead Space, The Orange Box, Modern Warfare, God of War III, Uncharted, Mass Effect, Alan Wake... "

Lol he said orange box is advancing the industry, sure with games that have been out for ages on PC.

"But if you like your Wii, I think that's great. I have to wonder, though: if you're secure with your purchase why are you spending time and energy commenting on message boards about how upset you are? "

Then if you're so secure about your ps3 and 360 why badmout the wii when you should be playing.

It's hypocracy plain and simple.

No what is bias is when someone loves the Wii and express it then they 'like a console'.  If they dislike it though and express is then suddenly it is "Anti-Wii bias".

To be fair anything positive said about the Wii should be labled "Pro-Wii bias" from now on.

Don't you expect reviewers who cover 360 games to actually like the 360?  I do.
Don't you expect reviewers who cover PS3 games to actually like the PS3?  I do.

That's just sort of a given.

I shouldn't have to worry that someone who covers the Wii and DS might actually hate them.

It's becoming clearer by the day that "gaming journalism" is still an industry run out of Mom's basement--nothing but man-children, playing grown-up w/o knowing how to tie their ties.

No standards. No professionalism. No reason to take any of it seriously.

BTW, Malstrom's quote "stuck on stupid" is great.
