You are right...Nintendo has proven that the majority of the people who live in this world don't want or need the latest technology in order to enjoy videogames and have entertainment...what people need is technology that is done not only right, but is innovative and affordable as well. You have to prove that people need your technology and can afford it as well...

dude thats an awesome idea...I've always wanted consoles to go the way of pc's. Developers would be able to support both systems but one would just have more horsepower. Awesome idea.

The XBox 360 can not catch up to Wii in console sales. MS is doing whatever it takes to keep XBox 360 in front of the PS3 in total sales. 360 is running out of good games so they launch this Natal to distract the gaming public. PS3 has all the top AAA exclusive games for 2009 and beyond. 360 knows it has to make a move.

However I hope the Natal does not take off just like the Zune. PS3 will outsell the XBox 360 with PS3 AAA exclusive games and the much needed PS3 Slim with PS3 price cut will help the PS3 win the console sales war over 360.

Never underestimate Sony and PS3. PS3 has a lot more tricks up its sleeve which should help it outsell the XBox 360 in total sales.

As passionate as you are about your stance, you have to realize that with these so-called AAA titles Sony is only attracting the same crowd as they have always been since the beginning of this generation...the same Sony fans who have been passionate about the PS3 since the beginning.

Will they move consoles? Absolutely. Will they move enough to move past the 360? That is yet to be seen, as the 360 and the PS3 have been constantly moving back and forth between each other as they are competing for the same crowd over and over again in a never-ending fight. MS is not really trying to compete against Sony just to control gamers, but in order to control everyone's living rooms. So we shall all see how this Natal will work out...

I think that IF this is going to happen (and that's a big if), then I think it will be in a form where developers are not allowed to use this extra power for their games, because their games should still run well on the ordinary 360. Instead, the extra power would purely be for 360 games to look and play a little better on this console.

Of course, Microsoft would be able to use that extra power to make exclusive applications for this Xbox Natal, which would also utilize Natal, so that the Xbox Natal would be the ultimate Xbox 360 with the ultimate Natal experience.

The extra they are talking about is porbably just as simple as harddrive as standerd. Think about it this Natal camra will need software to run it and the way ms has been talking its some impressive software that makes it happen not the cam itself.
Adding hard drive as standerd and letting devs use this(we see it already with FR3) will help the 360 stay in the market longer and devs wont have to worry about the dvd format to much. Ms could also drop the price of hard drives for the people who have yet to pick one up or want to upgrade.
If done right with the right marketing I can see ms staying in real good shape with its sales. Remember this is all just talk and remember how ms talked about how it the new dash was like a relanched 360, they probably saying the same thing about natal. Hvaing it bundled with all the new stuff it adds(maybe a nother BIG dash update) hard drive standerd would be like a relaunched 360.
