If you buy the 60 TB PS4 and you're not in a PAL country, yes.

But the 80 TB PS4 will not include the legacy Cell chip used for running older PS3 games, relying on software emulation instead, which will only run 80% of the games.

Inspite of Madden 2008 being available for the Gamecube (6 years after the system was released) I really don't think that it is reasonable to say that the Gamecube's life was (much) longer than 4.5 or 5 years; in much the same way I don't think you can claim that the Playstation lived much past the end of 2002. In order for a system to be supported (in my opinion) it has to have more than inexpensive, low quality, cash in titles; these systems quality of life ended well before their feeding tube was pulled from their brain dead body.

Christmas 2008 will effectively be the final days of the PS2 and it will coast on fumes until 2010 (or later).

Ever heard of the blank NES carts that you could download games onto?  They were active in Japan even with some new games up until 2005 or 2006.   They were stopped not because people weren't still using them but because the Wii VC would conflict with it in Japan.
