Forums - General Discussion - Will a perfect ACT or SAT score get me a full scholarship to most uni's?

I ask not that I think I can get this score but my cousin got a 34 on the ACT(36 is the highest) and he heard that a 36 will get him a full ride scholarship anywhere in the U.S. I told him some but not all, but he insists he can now go to th Ivy League free of charge, which is crazy.

My question is if you guys/gals know how many universities or coleges do give full ride for a perfect ACT/SAT score?

Around the Network

Being that roughly 1 in 50,000 students receive a perfect score on the SAT a score like that probably opens a lot of doors and will get you access to a lot of scholarships. If you combine that with the kinds of grades most students who get these kinds of scores tend to get, there isn’t a school in the world that wouldn’t give them a full scholarship.

Actually no. There are many people who get a perfect score, but that doesn´t mean a full scholarship. You REALLY have to distinguish yourself to get a scholarship from the top 5 schools like harvard, MIT, stanford, etc. You think there is no one else with a perfect score? Cal Tech gives only 7 students a scholarship, to put it into perspective. The person from my school who got it didn´t actually have a perfect score. The ACT and SAT are heavily flawed to begin with and admissions know that.
