Nah, Sony will just use a CPU developed by another company to cut costs - or do something clever/low-cost with the CELL in its current form.

It's a legitimate discussion actually though there's not much we're going to arrive at beyond bickering over opinions. If Sony is going to drop out altogether then they're going to keep up the facade til the very end so we'll never see it comming and can't predict it with any accuracy.

As you've already seen many members on this forum will violently defend the PS3 to the death and will attack anyone that brings up any discussion even in the slightest bit negative of the PS3. It doesn't help the fact that they're pumped up with Fanboyosterone from the recent TGS announcements yet still reeling from the embarassment that was Lair and possible dissapointing follow up of Heavenly Sword. It's not a good atmosphere and this discussion isn't going to fly on a forum such as this, at least, not right now.

So its ok for fanboys to troll i.e 360 vs ps3 thread. But comments on an article which soe peope dont want to happen are not aloud. I can but only smile in the irony
