As they're refurbs, I don't think they would carry an MS warranty, but the sale was even posted on Major Nelson's site by himself, so MS sure knows about it.
It's great news to see that people would be willing to buy even a "refurbished" MS console, not even knowing wich hardware version would they be getting. $140 is a decent price and makes you wonder what if (or when) Microsofts decides to throw the 20Gb HDD on the arcade model and retails it for the same $199 or even $179, why wouldn't people pay that for a console with 3 years, heck, even a 1 year warranty, knowing it's a Jasper model.
They might not have had that many consoles, but leaves you wondering, since Microsoft might definitively start throwing some good bundles at us and might be ready (as mentioned countless times) to respond to a PS3 price drop with one of their own.
