VGA can look better depending on your display, it kind of depends on the maker and the type of hardware inside or if it's LCD or CRT, even right now, in front of my 24 inch WS LCD monitor with DVI, I still think my old CRTs with VGA had better colors just because CRT generally had better black and white, it's all in your perception of the eyes, not so much tech on paper.

Don't know about fanboys, but I just fired up my uncharted 10 days ago and after completing it I played through re5.

It doesn't take a genius to know why uncharted is > than re5.

Like I mentioned before, these are the things uncharted does better:

Lighting, textures, water effects, on screen action ( movement of water, grass, flowers, leaves bushes etc) and it has more interactive scenery ( breakable objects, crumbling buildings, boxes, ledges, cliffs and shit lots more).

The one thing re5 does better than kz2 and uncharted is character models. The textures only look good from but are far from good. The cutscenes give away how shoddy a lot of the textures are. The water effects are some of the worst I've seen and on screen action Is mostly non existant.

Yes, gears graphics are > than uncharted, but re5 don't come close to gears or uncharted!

My younger Brother bought Resident Evil 5 on launch date, and I have been watching him play the game, I don't play because I don't like having nightmares, I have a tendency to dream about a movie or game that I just seen I don't like waking up in a cold sweat with my heart pounding in my chest, no thank you, call me whatever you like.

I have been watching him play and I knew Resident Evil 5 would have really good graphics, from the movies and screenshots I saw before even the demo came out, and when I saw the demo it was all but confirmed, Resident Evil 5 showed that the 360 can pull of Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, a game Sony claimed could not be done on 360 without Blu-ray and Resident Evil 5 also proves 360 can even pull of Metal Gear Solid 4, but I have noticed that graphically the Industrial levels in Resident Evil 5 look similar to the Industrial levels in Killzone 2.

Now I am not saying Resident Evil 5 looks better than Killzone 2, but, is Resident Evil 5 the first game to hint at what a Microsoft spokesperson said about future Xbox 360 games surpassing Killzone 2?

I have a 42" LG HDTV and I am using VGA Cables for my 360, so I am seeing the best possible picture for games.

i read the underlined part in bold, and it failed already, plus you cant be serious RE5 proves 360 can pull a mgs4, you must be insane

Personally, I honestly don't think the 360 can't pull an MGS4. What I don't get is why RE5 proves it can. If he  even used gears 2 instead, I'll understand.

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

I agree Jeronimo. Resident Evil 5 looks better than KZ2. I played both on the PS3.

Almost your whole post is wrong. Even the title is wrong, because you clearly say in the OP it's not better.

You fail :(

Oh hi Mike, how is you 140 million LTD for PS3 sales going?

Still on track with my anticipations of doing ~10 million sales per year, hopefully a cheaper slimline product gets released this year so it can do my anticipated ~15 million on average sales per year. Let's wait for 2016 before coming to conclusions, ok?

BTW, I said I expected going beyond 100 million should be no problem assuming Sony's 10 year lifecycle. If somebody would have said in the first half of 1997 the Playstation 1 would sell over 100 million, maybe people would have frowned as well (was only about 14 million shipped taking equal timeframes). So let's not get pre-emptively childish and off topic, ok?

So even though its currently tracking well below what it was last year you still won't concede. All I have to say then is I'm glad your not a sales analyst for any major companies.

The definitive evidence that video games turn people into mass murderers

Yeah, well only its nowhere near Killzone 2 AND its also on PS3. I personally think Uncharted was similiarly jaw dropping and that was released in 2007. at that time it was jaw dropping, but Crysis has spoilt me graphic wise. No game would graphically impress me as Crysis on console. (Unless made on Cryengine3).
You got to give it to Sony 1st party developers for making graphically awesome games with little or no installs for PS3 - Third party developers are struggling with installs.
So, in conclusion....
KZ2 graphics > RE5 PS360 graphics ( 360 has the edge with RE5 though)
I would like to see MS 1st party developers push for KZ2-level graphics.
PS: Alan Wake looks good but we haven't had any confirmation whether the footage was on PC or 360. (we'll have to wait and see)
Heavy Rain is awesome too.
But Uncharted 2 is the deal to me, it eclipses KZ2 and the videos were leaked and low quality ! So far my thoughts are PS3 is better with visuals than 360...but it can change within a few years...who knows?
