Another good survival horror shooter game that stands out for me is the original F.E.A.R. the freaky girl, Alma in the game and the sudden unexpected thing appearing out of no where on the screen made me jump a few times while playing that game.

F.E.A.R. is a great game, but its even more repetitive than Dead Space.

Okay, I can now say that I prefer Dead Space. RE5 is alright but it is way too old in how it is made from the obstacle course level design, enemy models that show almost no damage, and of course the clunky controls which I tihnk is also why most of the enemies, not all, are themselves slow and clunky. Of the parts of the game there are a lot of parrallels most of which I preferred Dead Spaces version. The one exception was the later parts of chapter 2. Comparing those shooter parts with the exterior guns parts of Dead Space I think favors RE5. In RE5 they were quick and well broken up with some qt events that kept the pacing and action up. I like the story for RE5 more, even though the whole flower-virus thing is retarded but at least it is enjoyable. I am glad I had seen Degeneration as without it I would have not had any clue about the BSAA or Tricell.
