Just to help mitigate expectations: remember that GDC means "Game Developers Conference." It's not really the same beast as E3 or Tokyo Game Show, and Iwata's comments are directed at industry professionals. I'm sure lots of people are gathered around waiting for news of the latest Zelda, but...don't get your hopes up, OK? He's mostly going to be talking about business strategies and how awesome Nintendo is for realizing that they could talk old people into playing videogames.

Actually, not so. He's primarily going to be talking about game design philosophies and how these concepts apply to game design. That is why Phantom Hourglass was unveiled at GDC 2007, and Gears of War was shown off as a tech showpiece last year.
