This is why Sony finally gave in and brought other manufacturers on board with bluray. As shams said, proprietary formats controlled by a single company always fail, and it's surprising that Sony kept trying it over the years.

Actually Memory Stick is doing very well. With the PSP supporting the format it has done ok the last few years and should stick around for quite a while.

LOL, gebx you are such a troll, almost as bad as the wii trolls. how many 360's you have fail on you? i would imagine 10+ RROD along with scratched discs, and having to turn your music up so you don't have to listen to that blender of system :D

If i knew how to upload movies to the net i'd show you vids of my crappy 360 getting the RROD, and how it sounds like a blender whenever you play games on it and how games like oblivion take 2minutes to load anything.

Plus you seem to only think that Sony makes these products, lots of companies had a hand in making them, plus you list things like UMD and the Sony mem stick which are great products and are far from being trashed.
