I suck, period.

I'd play all of you, but then my penis would shrink from inferiority.

Seriously.

We'll miss you George.

Why do some EX moves do less damage than the normal version?

Do they? Who do you play with?

Well, it may differ from character to character. Vega's EX barcelona attack will hit you and throw you up, making it for an easier grab and more damage, you can only combo his scarlet terror to his EX scarlet terror, his EX sky high claw will go through fireballs and so on...

Most characters EX fireballs will go through other characters normal fireballs, well, as i said, it depends on the character

Yes, I know some do more damage and have some other advantages.

However, pick Gief and do an EX spinning pile driver.

It actually does less damage than his fierce version, and doesn't have any visible advantage.

Gief's EX piledriver has more range and is quicker than his normal ones. Also, some EX moves can make the character invincible (as in things go through) as the move is being done, it's possible that it's the same case for gief's SPD. I'd save up his ex bars for the flaming backhand though... that move is pretty vicious and useful.

So.... how exactly do we set this up?? Championship mode isn't what I thought it would be....

Also, I'm now using Ken, and then [very lightly] Abel, C Viper, FeiLong, Sakura and Cammy.

Great question, we need some former club members to start posting here again, so then we can agree on a time and I'll make a random bracket then set up an online tourny. It would be cool if we can get a bi-weekly leauge going, but we're going to need some more members.

And again, I WISH there was a record option so I can post the matches here online.

More range is useful, but as far as quicker goes, Gief's SPD is instant if you are close enough, right? How do you get quicker than instant?

It's not exactly instant, it all depends on the frames of each move your opponent does. For example, if there's two giefs, the one that does the EX will win. A more pratical situation would be Ryu and his dragon punch, the EX SPD may be enough to stop him before the animation gets him in the air whereas the normal SPD may not. But yeah, it's primarily for the extra range.

Interesting.

I know that in the other SF games, SPD is instant.

For example in ST or HDR, you can tick short and then spd within a 1 frame window.

I didn't know that SPD actually had latency in this version.
