Of course, what is failed to notice is that even with Patcher's conservative estimates

Wii>Xbox 360 + PS3.

What is really strange though is the big difference between VGC and Patcher on the Wii. Of course, we shall see who is right. And I don't bet on Patcher.

The sales gap between the Xbox 360 doesn't make sense on Pachters part considering,

A. People are much more price concious due to the recession.
B. The Xbox 360 has historically been stronger in this market.

The only factos I can think of which could make his estimate true are,

A. Xbox 360 supply issues in the big untracked stores like Walmart
B. Extensive retailer discounting on overstocked PS3 hardware due to the extremely poor Holiday season.

I've followed Pachters statements for a while, and something I've noticed (and made fun of constantly on gaf) is that he is (or at least was until late 2008) bullish on the PS3. Often his predictions have been off because he was overly optimistic for the PS3 and pessimistic on the 360, and somewhat all over the place on Wii but usually lower.

The wii discrepancy raised my eyebrow as well. I'd say the truth is somewhere more in the middle in the 700K-730 K area.

You all can't see the obvious: Pachter must really be a God Analyst (a clumsy divinity, but one anyway), as only divine powers could allow an analyst survive (and keep his *cough* well deserved salary) the amount of sorry figures he cut, particularly after Wii's release.
