Forums - Nintendo Discussion - I went to the Comicon... any questions?

I went and tried out all of segas games. They had at their booth ONLY wii games. They gave a shirt out for each game that you played besides sonic.

House of the dead I only played for 1 sec so I cant say anything about that.

Madworld was fun but by the end sorta reptitve. The devs(?) were there and signed a cover, so when I get the game I can have  a signed copy. Ill put a pic up later.

Sonic was amazing. The controls worked great and Sonic was swinging his sword and not slowing down.

Conduit, hmmm It was hard to see because the area that I played was really dark. Sometimes the gun when fire took up to much of the screen. Also the controls were amazing except for punching and throwing grenades. Maybe I will get used to it after playing for a while but whenever I punched or threw a grenade it was was hard to control the guy. When I threw the grenade it was hard to aim because I always moved the wiimote with it so the grenade went flying in the wrong direction.

I went around to the other exhibits too but segas was the best for video games and even the whole convention really set up well. I played chinatown wars for about a minute and found that the game worked welll from what I tried.

Any questions/comments?

did chinatown wars look good?

Yeah the game looked great. It was bright and the graphics looked really good (for a ds game) The game in motion looked a lot better then the screenshots.

I only got to play one level but I saw some more. There was this dumb kid in front of me that was fighting the king and couldnt figure out how to do it even though it had a picture of a wiimote (to swing) when you needed to.

i was there too! i played madworld, the conduit and sonic. thought madworld was outstanding, the conduit will live up to the hype, and sonic so far felt better than the past few sonic games, but im still not sold (well technically i am, cause i'm buying it.)

@ phoenix

can you get into some specifics with madworld and conduit, or didn't you get enough time with them to really critique them?

thx...   - kw

Did you see the guy in the bannana costume. Me and my freinds were laughing so hard.

because of the long lines, i was watching more than i was playing to be honest, but.

for the conduit- the graphics did amaze me. theyre not like "omg 360 graphics," but theyre still really good, especially for the wii, and it made the experience more fun. as for the controls, when i first picked up the wiimote it was kind of hard to get used to, but i think it was just the placement of the sensor bar. as i got used to the controls, it was a lot easier. i wish i can say more than that, but i didnt really get a lot of time to play.

as for madworld, i played through some stuff we've seen in the videos, and some we haven't. for example, the area where you through people into the fire/pit and theres like spikes that come down, i played some of that. the controls work great, and i'd compare it a little to that of NMH.i also played in this street lke are, which was really fun. taking out the chainsaw and using it is really fun. loved the graphics and art direction.
