For what it's worth, this is what happened when a thread was started claiming "Resistance 2 was the most intense game" he ever played when he got into the beta.
Thread starter got permabanned but you can see where the thread progresses.

Of course that doesn't guarantee K2 is gonna blow your world but I hope it does improve your prospects.
I'm pretty excited about KZ2, probably why all the threads doesn't offend me at all.
Hell, I actually enjoy clicking a thread and watching all the screenshots, watching all the trailers and staring at all the .gifs. To me it's entertaining and I'm usually more impressed and excited after I'm done.

Now, I was in the KZ2 beta. Outlaw, MM476 and I use to play together in the beta and it was fun.
I wasn't as blown away as they were, to me it was much better than the COD4 multiplayer, but it didn't give me the sheer joy and addiction I had with counterstrike when I played that in my early teens.

Also, few rotten eggs. You might notice them more because of their smell but they do not represent the whole batch.
Sometimes I wonder if the PS3 fanboys are other console fans trying to give PS3 fans a bad name.

 

THIS.  Oh so much this.

And that thread shows that many people, particularly myself, were proclaiming Killzone 2 to be better than Resistance 2 (much better, in the case of myself) when both betas were running concurrently.

I could care less if it's hyped, sells well or is a "savior" as you mention.

All I know is, it's *~"ANOTHER"~* bad ass (imo, thus far) exclusive coming the the PS3.



  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

I don't think he thought this post through. By creating this thread, he is only adding to the hype of the game by discrediting its previous iteration supposed hype, wondering in the process how this hype will be any different than the previous hypes of games that came out on the PS3 before this latest hype...good job.

Well the problem is with this, people are really bothered by the hype of this game, is because the first game in the franchise was pretty average and now people are wondering, how the game that average in the past could get so much hype. It's not what i think but what people think. I'm still excited for the game.

 

Not to mention that the first Killzone was heavily hyped back in the day as being a "Halo Killer" primarily because it had good graphics and was a PS2 exclusive ...

The final game was plagued with rampant texture pop-in and constant framerate dips.  Both these things are obviously not a problem with the sequel, given the amount of play time the press has had with the game (and beta testers), with no complaints (nor any visible problems in gameplay videos - in fact, the visuals have only improved over the last few months).

PS3 needs to be saved from what exactly? kicking 360's ass while being more EXPENSIVE and having NO GAMES and SUCKY ONLINE? and blah blah blah blah blah blah, booo-hoooo whine whine whine tear tear tear...please.
