I am sick of hearing that the wii is not a direct competitor to the 360 and PS3. I am 28 and have been playing games since the nes came out. So that must make me not a true gamer just because I dont have a 360 or PS3. Stop with this shit. It makes people who make these comments look like morons. They all compete against each other.

Since casual gamers don't only buy Wii's and hardcore gamers don't only buy 360's and PS3's, they are competing.

problem is that you rolled in here and posted a fairly flame-worthy thread, you have to expect the consequences wen you say stuff like that. This site is not too keen on fanboys for any system.

in one post you said that only true gamers buy a ps360 and only girls play Wii more or less....this is why you are getting the "fail" pictures posted.

for instance I have been playing games for 20 years, games luike NInja Gaiden and Lifeforce for the NES classic Hardcore games, and I have a wii, and guess what I chose it over the PS3 and 360, because I could care less about HD graphics.  guess I'm not a "true Gamer" (aka 16 year old snobby kid)

Back to topic: I have been plying games since C64 and NES and I love Nintendo and Wii above all. I guess I´m not a serious player anymore, whatever.....

To say that Wii isn´t competing with the other consoles is just wrong and plain stupid. I´m tired of this statement. They are all videogaming consoles. They are all competing for customers (believe it or not) and they are all competing for developers. This is where Wii is now staring to pose a serious threat in the quest for "hardcoreplayers", escpecially in Japan.

Sure they would and this is a big proof that Wii indeed is competing with PS3/360.

I have to agree with your thought that the Wii isn't a direct competitor of the other HD consoles. However your logic in coming to this conclusion is pretty flawed. To say that no true gamer would buy a Wii over the PS3 and the 360 is an incorrect statement. I for one have a Wii, a PC and a PS3. In order of purchase was the PC, the Wii, and the PS3. I am happy with all three. I am playing all three weekly. If one were to break, I would have to get out and buy a new one the next day. Your language is pretty inflammitory. It's hard to believe that you are not trying to get some digs in. Just be happy with your console. Why do you feel the need to try and drag anothers choice down, just because you don't like it? If you were truly, hardcore, you would be working towards getting all 3 consoles. How could you get more hardcore than that?!
