Forums - Gaming Discussion - Sony fans... is it time for a nice slice of humble pie?

The PS3 may not be the hottest selling console. But it is still the one that I use 75% of the time when in my games room!

Just because the PS3 isn't selling the best doesn't mean it's any less awesome.

Sure it is time for a piece of humble pie. But at worst Sony is going to come in second in Japan and Asia and they might be third in Europe and the US, but in the end it is going to be much closer in Europe. So, I don't think they will be humbled too much in this gen unless people were expecting them to win every console race until the end of time, and I don't think they really would have been expecting that or that they were expecting that. But Sony will continue to be competitive in the big picture of this industry for years to come.

Heavens to Murgatoids.

The admittance should be less if the PS3 will come in third and more that Sony dropped the ball big time, which a lot here are admitting.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

@ Scruff - It's not that bad to be in 3rd place. I loved my gamecube, and the PS3 is getting more 3rd party support than the GC did

Yes, it does. Obviously, not alot of people in the real world think it's worth the price, soooo ...

You enjoy it. Full stop.

Eat humble pie? Admit defeat? Lol.

What defeat? Sales of a corporation don't effect me. If we're talking quality of games then I'd consider myself a winner because I'm enjoying the PS3's games A LOT.

This all the way, i dont know what these people are talking about but i agree with you all the way Swy.

Not really. The thing with the GC was a lack of exclusives, and that is the issue with the PS3.

I own a PS2 and X360. I am waiting for a Wii to reach a $150 price and the PS3 to drop to $250. Yeah I have to wait a couple of years from now to own a Wii and PS3 but those prices are what I believe the consoles are worth. PS3 is still drastically over priced at $400 and the current available games are not sufficient for a purchase of a PS3/ Blu-ray machine. PS3 is priced high due to expensivbe Blu-Ray player in the PS3.

I also need to buy a 1080p HDTV one day to get the benefits out of the PS3's Blu-Ray capabilities.
The price of PS3 is holding the console back and t the disastrous state of the economy is adversely impacting on PS3 sales.
Sales of PS3 hardware will pick up as its price drops and more games are available.
