Forums - Sales Discussion - Burnout PSN score 20K Downloads 3 weeks

"Electronic Arts revealed during a Thursday earnings call that the company's first big full-game console download, Burnout Paradise, has sold 20,000 units in its first three weeks on PlayStation Network."

Seems like solid numbers to me, especially as it's presumably higher profit for both EA and Sony.

well im one of those, couldnt be bothered messing around on e-bay to save a fiver so i just downloaded it, good game

assumption is the mother of all f**k ups

I'm considering joining you. The whole not having to worry about a silly BD appeals to me, and the consistent updates for what appears to be a high quality game also attracts.

In short: it looks like a fine purchase.

It sure is a fine purchase. Burnout is a really fun and huge game.

They will know Helgan belongs to Helghasts

Decent sales, especially 9 months after launch

I would recommend anyone who has not got this game to pick it up. It is a fantastic game

Excellent game, I already have the blu-ray disc version

I've just been reading about the exclusive PSN features planned for early 2009 as well (just posted on the official blog), and I'm growing increasingly more convinced.

As for the sales: 20K seems pretty decent to me for an old game you can buy for cheaper in many shops. It adds up to a lot on money for little extra outlay for any party involved, which can only be a good thing from the perspective of seeing continual updates for the game.

@ hapimeses, well the free DLC is certainly a great idea, and apparently EA are going to keep that going to stop trade ins, I believe the PS3 exclusive ME DLC is going to be free

BP has had great legs and been really popular because it has loads of free DLC, such as new cars, and an entirely new mode. I have read that this is a new policy from EA to try and cut down on trade ins by supporting the game over a longer period
