Ive been asking everyone this the entire day, and NOBODY knows.
How do you divide fractions?
the equation is
-3/5y=-2/3x + 5
I need to make it y=mx+b, but to do that I need to divide by the fraction, and no I cant turn them into decimals.
Can you explain to me, what exactly do you do.
I forgot how to divide fractions..
^ What he said...Oh and if you don't know what the reciprocal is: it is the fraction backwards I guess lol...ex. 3/5 reciprocal is 5/3......To divide 3/5 by something, just turn the other number into its reciprocal and then multiply the two...Easy stuff :)

times -2/3x
=
-3/5times -2/3 yx=5

you eliminate -3/5 from -3/5y by dividing
then you multipy -5/3(the reciprocal of -3/5) by -2/3x and 5
You get y = 10/9x - 3

alright so to divide a fraction
lets say -2/3 divided by -3/5
you just turn it into
-2/3 times -5/3
and then its 10/3....?
