Here is the debate:
Though I do not have any problems over who games over which system the most, I believe the user makeup of this website has changed.
For a long time now, everybody has made complaints that this website is overrun by Wii fanboys (can't say for sure for fans of the 360, PC, DS, or PSP), hence why the incredible sales it reports for that system.
But now I believe it really has changed and here is my evidence for my theory:
1) There are now more and more threads that focus on Sony platforms, specifically the PS3.
If I can even be more specific than that, lots and lots of LBP threads. There are also more and more threads about how the PS3 will make a turnaround, about its sales, and comparisons between the PS3 and the 360. Though there have always been many Sony threads, there seems to be a significant increase of them popping out.
2) Probably more amazing would be the polls.
I am going to refer to three polls. One asked who would win in a fight. The winner was Kratos, a well-known Sony mascot, over the second place winner Link, a famous mascot for Nintendo. The next poll was which game will eventually sell the most overall out of the select choices. After all the hoopla over how Nintendo Wii games suck and they are just considered good because they sell the most, most people voted LBP as the best choice, followed by Wii Music. And now we have a new poll that shows that VGChartz viewers play the PS3 the most.
Now, my theory will prolly be shown as a bunch of bull. It could be that the few Sony users here really do not have a life but just make more and more threads that cover the same topic over and over again. And maybe we have ghost voters - people who view the website but are not users and do not make any other contribution to the site other than voting on the polls. But it is something to consider.
Why did I make this website? To show using the argument on this website that "you don't agree with me because you are just another Wii/360 fanboy" is not foolproof. Times change and this website is growing bigger and bigger. Sooner or later, either people's choice of consoles expand or change. And that it is not a good argument to suggest that just because one prefers one console over another, their opinion does not matter. There are quite a few members on this website who can discuss a subject without any bias.
