I have a chart for Japanese hardware shipments, but it's too big to directly post, how do I add a thumbnail image?

- From Famitsu Game Hakusho. (millions of units sold)

Total Software 49.96 54.06 54.50 58.52 55.43 77.16 75.74 425.37
Pokemon Series 1.20 3.46 2.80 4.48 2.29 6.00 2.87 23.10

Other RPGs 3.92 6.81 2.81 2.43 5.00 4.25 1.20 26.42

I think handhelds are to thank for the big increase in from 05 to 06-7.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

NDS sold nearly 40m software in both 06 & 07, so pretty much down to that.

Post the url, that should be enough. ^^

Thx BKK. :)

And @ BKK, Famitsu tracks sales numbers since 1986, but they began first in 1996 to extrapolate their numbers and they should've had a good market coverage in that time.

Whoow, Wii is only 400k behind the 07-sales... I though Wii was doing quite poorly nowadays there so that's not bad AT ALL! 3.2 for Japan is great actually!

As for DSlite... totally killing it!

THE NETHERLANDS

Thanks for the shipment numbers, PC-Engine Duo was the PC-Engine with CD-Rom drive built in, do you know how much the original CD-ROM2 add-on sold?

Also, JVC made a Mega Drive with the Mega CD built in, called the Wondermega:

Any shipment numbers for this?

The chart I linked to above has SG-1000 shipments at 400,000, but Sega later released the Mark III, which was known as the Master System in the west, and later renamed as the Master System in Japan too. From the graph above I can see the Mark III/Master Sytem sold around 1m, but actual hard numbers would be nice.
