Have you checked your router's settings? Have you made sure that dhcp is available and has enough available addresses to support your computers and PS3? Have you made sure that the static IP you assigned to your PS3 is not blocked by your router because it is out of its range? Have you increased the strength of your router's wireless signal? Have you fiddled with your wireless channel s you don't get any interference?

im not sure if this is gonna work BUT twist and turn (dont break) the antennas of ur wireless router, facing downward a bit in the direction of the ps3, maybe the better the signal strenght, the better chance it'll have gettin IP adress

This is what I signed up for.

The problem will be with your router.  If you haven't already then update your firmware.  If that doesnt work.  The chances are you need a new router.

I had the same problem but then i got a router that would would with the PS3 but not the Wii and now I have a router that will work with everything but I can't have the PS 3 on if I'm using any other devices as they conflict.

make sure FILE SHARING is turned OFF under network settings it is the cause of several known issues hope this gets u going

i advise gettin Wireless G network adapter for ur ps3, i got it for mine, and it works perfectly. there might be some issues at times but, they're easy to fix.

and it only took me 10 mins to setup the netowork settins and it started workin for ps3 very well.

Well you might have the wrong security settings..wep didnt work for my ps3 so i changed it to wpa-psk tkip. then everything worked out for me. Try that.

this is a common problem it seems, go to the security settings on your router redo the security settings or disable the security then go to the ps3, re-scan this should connect the ps3, go bac to the security settings on your router redo the key this should disconnect your ps3, re- scan redo the key this should connect the ps3 please pass this on as there are too many for jus my self to respond to THANX
