Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Which current generation console has the best controller?

Wii has the best controller by far, this controller simply revolutionised gaming. Making it more fun, more acccesible and opening new options for most of games because developers that have imagination and skill can enchance gaming with that scheme.

Plus Classic controller offers a solution with games like brawl, vc and possible fighters.

Xbox360 gamepad is the BEST
I do not like the PS3 pad
It is ugly and less ergonomical...

Also Microsoft will release a new Xbox360 gamepad with a better D-pad in the next monthsHere is a photo about it

This is not coming to Europe or NA. This is for ASIA ONLY.

It looks like this could be limited edition for Europe, Asia and Latin America only.

^Why those regions and not the 360's biggest userbase+home turf, I'll never know. Didn't hear of it coming to EU though.

problems i have with each

ps3:

after a while my hands hurt
expensivefinger slips off analog sometimes

360:

keep pressing the start button when playing,
black and white buttons useless
batteries
too heavyoddly placed analog throws off my aim a lot

wii:

not complete?batteries
sometimes unresponsive or off target?
breaks things
a peripheral that needs 3 other peripherals.....(nunchuck, grip, sensor thingie thats coming out)
too simple for kind of games i like, i would need 4th peripheral, or even fifth.....

^I have no prob with the 360 D-pad. Anyway, OP I feel that the 360 is the best designed for grip, etc. The PS3 controller is to small and is more L like making you hold it w/ your wrists at a 90 degree angle to it while the 360 feels more relaxed like a 65 degree. Better for carpal tunnel syndrome prevention. The Wii is a remote so it is less prone to these technicalities.

I prefer the Wii controller, for obvious reasons.

The only issue I have with the Sixaxis is the L2/R2, as it's easy to accidently press it, which is... not good.  I haven't used the 360 controller enough, but I think it's fine minus the D-pad.  The only controller I've ever really hated was the first Xbox controller.

The controls for RE4 and MP3 were great and Motion+ will make it far more responsive and accurate. With Motion+, the aiming could be nearly as good as using a mouse, and anyone who has played a good PC player knows that kind of speed and accuracy is unmatchable by thumbsticks.

Thumb sticks are terrible for first person shooters.  I think everyone can agree on that.  The wiimote is arguably better than a mouse.
