Xbox 360 Price cut (now US $199)

It's official: We've got an Xbox 360 price cut coming to the US. Our friends in Japan announced their price cut earlier this week, but now it's time to roll one out here. As of September 5th, the new prices will be as follows:

Xbox 360 Arcade $199
Xbox 360 $299
Xbox 360 Elite $399

I hope this spills over into the UK, as I'm planning on getting the 60gb soon, for Fable II, and anything off the price would mean money for Banjo, Gears, Viva Pinata, and Halo 3.

good now xbox can keep up with ps3 sales. more people will get in HD gaming. More HD games. Good all around.

Hopefully this will ensure that the many people that argued the price drop wasn't going to happen, or was just a temporary thing can realize how they've been wrong for nearly a month now.

So the rumors of the price drop being on the 7th were false...lol

Good... fans of some other consoles have said that it is only a rumour... Now they will be dissapointed.

This had to have been the best kept secret EVAR!!!

This will boost sales by a large margin over the Christmas holidays here in NA.
