Oh, starcraft got owned by a guy with 50 posts! WHAT!

Typically, the people that post in Sony forums don't find my joke posts funny as they are a little too close to the truth....

Nah, it's just because they're not funny.  And nonsense to boot!

I only hit it after Halogamer mentioned it... I just couldn't resist >.<

I heard an entire stadium got rick-rolled once, apparently the Mets let fans vote online for what song to play between innings, and well, yeah...

Current playing: No More Heroes

wouldnt this higher ed version be making profits on each unit sold. i think it might.

plus i always think that the high end versions should always have BC, that always raises the value to huge amounts.

What the hell is a big deal with Uncharted???
I hate it that its on all bundles.

I thought the PS3 WAS Sony's market test for a higher spec machine!

Ridiculous. This test has been done. The old 80gb was a higher-specced machine, and it sold great. The 160gb is a base model with a $50 harddrive thrown in.

People dont need a 160GB hard-drive tho...its just too much!

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

Sony chief David Reeves has said the forthcoming 160GB PlayStation 3 console is a limited edition system.

The Sony European boss said the launch of the next PS3 model has been implemented to test demand for a higher-priced, higher-spec machine.

“The 160GB PS3 is a limited edition that we’re doing to see how it goes in all the territories,” SCEE president David Reeves told UK trade magazine MCV.

In North America, Sony will release the 160GB PS3 console in November, bundled with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, for $499.99.

Price of 160GB 2.5 inch HD as found in PS3 =

160GB Western Digital WD1600BEVS Scorpio Blue, 2.5", SATA 150, 5400 rpm, 8MB Cache, 12 ms

£34.65

Price of 80GB 2.5 inch HD as found in PS3 =

80 GB Western Digital WD800BEVS Scorpio Blue, 2.5", SATA 150, 5400 rpm, 8MB Cache, 12 ms

£28.87

160GB PS3....An Effing rip off!

(As a side note, a 40GB costs MORE than an 80GB)

Higher spec? My arse, more marketing bullshit. Sony are not planning to possibly release "higher spec" PS3s. This is a just deception and a play on words.

Sony are charging you an extra £70 for something that costs them less than £10 to mandate

Thats the first post you've made that I can actually agree with. Instead of cringe and hold my head in my hands thinking..."Is this guy for real?".

Well done...

p.s Congratulations on finally learning that there is only one "s" in the word "plus"...
