Gears 2 360 exclusive only

 

Epic: There will be no Gears of War 2 for PC

Sometimes it's just best to get to the point ... even if that point is really sharp and will pierce the hearts of PC gamers. In an interview with IGN, Epic's Cliff "Don't Call Me CliffyB" Bleszinski, designer of Gears of War 2, revealed that, unlike the original game, the sequel won't appear on PC.

"Gears of War is a great franchise first and foremost for Xbox 360, and therefore we're focusing on that platform for Gears of War 2," CliffyB Bleszinski said, adding, "We've decided we're not going to do a PC version this time around." Point made. Now to stop the bleeding ...



PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game

Let's hope Epic keep their word on this. X360 needs more outright AAA exclusives not just console exclusives that end up on the PC.

I'm doubting this. He'll probably want to hype it up on the 360 until it comes out, then the improved version will be announced on the PC.

Meh. Doesn't matter to me. I gotta get my fix in November. After that, they can port it to the PSP for all I care.

lol yea, though I think he'll keep it on the down low until a while after the 360 version comes out. From what I remember, they really pissed off both 360 gamers (for announcing the PC version with new content soon after the 360 version) and PC gamers (a buggy game that forced Windows Live).

I haven't been a fan of the Unreal games, but hasn't Epic really pissed on their PC fanbase with Unreal 3 and Gears of War?

Theres still no Halo 3 on PC and thats nearly 1 year old now, so maybe its true, i saw in an interview that gears 3 is gonna be exclusive to microsoft consoles too, asked if there would be gears 3 on a sony console cliffy b basically said that its locked down to microsoft now and its highly unlikely you'll ever see a gears of war game on a sony console.... if the game turns out as good as most of us expect it to then theres every chance that gears 2 could help microsoft shift a few more 360 consoles this autumn and xmas time.....
