Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Gamespot reviews Too Human: 5.5

I think I will just borrow somewhere instead of buying it. Maybe skip this game.

What the Sony Defense Forces have failed to realize in their comparison is that the sword cuts both ways. They are basically saying a 67 on the 360 is equal to a 55 on the PS3. That means that the 360 library is held to a higher standard probably, because it is far superior.

Think of it this way on the PS3 a 67 would probably be considered an average or slightly above average title. While on the 360 it must be considered an epic failure. There is a twelve point quality curve in place. Nice to see in their twisted round about way they have conceded this point that the 360 has a far superior library.

Honestly I do not buy into this logic, but it is the natural outcome of their Shylock complex. Their desperate need for a pound of flesh. I am not entirely sure why they did not go after Kingdom Under Fire. A exclusive title that was actually par with Haze rather then a title that has a twelve point spread at this point. Anyway I have always held the belief that though tastes may very, and despite how little goodness a console may have. The majority of gamers would agree quality is a standard that crosses all console boundaries within a generation.

I have read a number of the reviews. I actually see a correspondence between how they view Too Human, and how they view Massive Online titles. Which they most assuredly rarely understand the appeal of. These games often carry the same kill, loot, upgrade, and repeat philosophy. Yet they are extremely popular in fact a few have shown lengthy love affairs with gamers, and actually boast more purchases. I would also say if your gripe is that the enemy levels with you then you really do not understand the goal.

When you play massive games you level up so as to be stronger so you can attack stronger things. Nobody levels up to just kill the same easy enemies. I am not understanding the gripe the difficulty is being balanced. What is the fun of fighting weak opponents that cannot defeat you. I mean that is what the difficulty settings are for. Notch it down to easy and victory should come easily.

It looks like it will not have that 67 for long dude.

Gamespy gave it a 2.5 out of 5 stars and i rely on gamespy for reviews mostly

I heard dieing doesn't matter and enemies scale.

Who in the hell ever thinks scaling monsters are a good idea?

I mean... has their ever been a game applauded for having scaling monsters? Ever?

Scaling monsters really only belong in very small areas of a game... and not for wide use.

I agree completely, one of the few flaws(in my opinion) of Oblivion.

Well, with all the hype around Haze, it still didn't make 1 million. That game had commercials while I was watching Smackdown too.

I doubt Too Human will sell 1 million when Devil May Cry 4 just passed that. DMC4 is part of a well renowned franchise and was of great quality. I haven't seen a commercial for it yet and I think the "hardcore" gamers who have seen these reviews will turn their backs on it. Not every 360 owner likes MMO style gameplay either.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."
