Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What 3rd party Wii game has the biggest budget so far?

I'm talking about games that have already been released. A lot of people claim that the Wii doesn't sell third party games (which we all know isn't true so I don't want to start a discussion about that) so I'm wondering what game has the biggest budget. I can't really think of any game that has a budget even remotely close to a standard PS3/360 game.

Boom Blox?

Sonic and the Secret Rings?

Guitar Hero III?

Red Steel?

MySims?

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

I believe REd Steel was actually around the 12 million mark, so probably that.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

Ninjabread Man, definitely.

Seriously, maybe Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground?

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

I believe for right now it is actually red steel. Fortunately already know that Monster hunter 3 will easily take that crown when it comes out.

I love fighting games !!! Come on challenge me !

Red Steel was like 10-12 million, but that includes the full cost of making the engine. Haven't heard of anything higher.

The engine was the Unreal 2 Engine, so the budget was all the other resources.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Does anyone know the production cost of Guitar Hero III?

I would think that use of 70 songs probably cost them quite a bit.

It included the cost of porting that engine to the Wii.

Yeah, probably Red Steel.
