It seems no matter what xbox does the system wont sell.  They seem to have a decent library of JPRG's, they seem to be getting most japense games as multiplatform? The graphics have been proven to be as good as PS3, time and time again games for both systems look about the same? 

Is it a national thing cause microsoft is made by an American company?  If so then why do Americans not care all we want is the best console?

Any insight would be appreciated

becuase its an american product, japanese people are very patriotic

American and Japanese cultures are different. I think we are a lot more receptive to their gaming choices than they are to ours. To be honest, judging by sales they tend to be very closed off in their tastes.

It's sales have been increasing every week for the past month and a half. Probably not the best time to make this thread.

I realize they're still not impressive in any absolute sense, but let's wait until things settle down before passing judgment.

It sold more than PS3 last week. If 360 doesnt sell, what does that mean for ps3?

First its hard to accept the fact that a person like you out of the blew created a profile today and out of the blew again knew how to create threads on your first day here....lol

OT: I would like to say the Xbox 360 is doing better than the original Xbox did in Japan.

The original Xbox had absolutely no software that catered to the the Japanese, now that Microsoft made a second go with the Xbox 360 its doing better. Just because Microsoft got the Japanese developers to jump aboard the Xbox 360 now.

Just know and you need to know the Xbox 360 is a success in Japan, regardless if anyone says its not. It's doing well for a non-Japanese console. And Microsoft is trying to break ground there and they are accomplishing that now.

By the end of this generation, the Xbox 360 will have sold 1 million units in Japan.

360 is a shooter console and Japanese do not like shooter games. Simple really but that is reality. PS3 and Wii appeal more to Japanese gamers.

Because Japanese only buy quality products.... and mostly what others above me said about games preferences in Japan.
