Forums - Gaming - Why is the user rating on Metacritic so bad for PS3 madden 09?

PS3 version has a user rating of 3.5 from 76 votes whilst the Xbox360 version has a user rating of  8.5 from 67 votes.

I don't get this, is this some sort of fanboysm skewing the voting substantually for the PS3 version or is there something wrong with the PS3 version?

If there was really something wrong with the game, something so fundamentally flawed with it that it would be a whole 5 points less than its direct competitor (Madden on the 360)...don't you think that would be reflected in the review scores?

It would, I was hoping it wasn't some stupin fanboy stunt. :( I think my hope for that is fading...

its fanboys, 360 fans dont like that an American game is equally as good on the Japanese HD console. Look at the number of votes 76 on the PS3 version 67 on the 360. Only 2 votes on the Wii version.

one word: Xbots. Xbots (read: fanboys) are professional trolls and they hate the PS3 with a vengeance. now about Madden. I might actually buy it since it looks so good. and I haven't bought another madden since Madden NFL 2004.

Wow, that is one really fanboy-ish comment. Before the 360/Xbox were out everybody played the game on Japanese consoles(except the PC versions of course). Before I picked up Madden for the 360, I owned versions on the SNES/Genesis/PS1/PS2 (all Japanese consoles...)
