Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Did RE4 spoil you?

I haven't tried yet... I'll have to go back and test TimeSplitters and Goldeneye/PD to see what's going on.

I imagine having the trigger under the left finger might help for N64, I guess using a RHS trigger might remind my hand of the B-button so I will be attempting to aim the GC controller in vain. I am usually goo at adapting quickly though.

Absolutely. I recently got a 360 and picked up a few used games for it. Among them was Dead Rising which I had been really excited to play. I hated it, the controls blew. I played through a short bit of it then went and returned it getting C&C instead. I had experienced this before on the Saturn and Dreamcast but I thought it worth another try after finishing RE4, MOHH2, and Metroid which really just convinced me the only reason I had enjoyed those and done well was because the new controls.

Consider me spoiled too. I'd say RE5 is my most anticipated game that is announced and not yet released, but even so, I don't look forward to analog stick aiming.

Yes in the way you meant, although I'd originally thought you were referring to having boss fights start off great and become even more awesome as the game went along, until you meet the final boss who just ruins everything.

I've played several shooters on the Wii (such as House of the Dead and Scarface, which is a third person shooter) and I can go back to analog controls just fine. That's probably because I play Halo 3 a lot more than I play shooters on the Wii though.

yeh i got the cube and wii versions of re4 and when i tried playing the cube version it was annoying as shit same thing happened when i tried playing socom for ps2

I usually dont have problems going from one method to the other, but RE4 WE has perfect controls.

I actually played my first FPS on PC so I could never play with Dual Analog. The Wiimote is the only controller that felt almost to as good as using keyboard and mouse. So no because I already was spoiled.

i actually brought RE4 with my Wii and whilst i was impressed with the controls, it just wasn't my type of game.

Then Halo 3 came out a week after and realised that i prefer using controllers.

Yeah, it's a real pain using the ancient dual analog set up now.
