Looks like the Majority says yes, and I agree. It's pretty obvious, it attracts more crowds, better games... Many PS2 fans even switched to Wii. So yeah I do think it'll sell WAY more then the PS2.

The only people who say no are the dying fans hoping Nintendo doesn't completely rain on all gaming =)

I'd like to say yes and it seems demand is there but i think there's 2 reasons why it wont.

1. it's built too well - the Wii doesn't break that often.
2. Nintendo's customer service - there's vast reports that when they do break Nintendo are very efficient in fixing them, thats not gonna help you sell 120M of them Nintendo.

Late last year to early this year, I wasn't sure it could. Now I know it will.

Well, I think it's safe to assume that the Wii will surpass the PS2 sales. Looking at the sales data and the popularity of the wii I believe that it is more than likely that the wii will outsell the ps2. Mind you, hopefully Nintendo will continue to support the system for at least 6 more years.

I think it will depend on the economy and whether the games keep coming. For now I would have to say its possible.

I was thinking that the Wii may become the same in Japan as well.
