curious what part the demo showed off.

I am not sure but I thought you had two levels in the demo (I can be wrong)  The first level + the first fight against a stalker.

I enjoyed this game, as well. I'm glad you're having fun with it. If there's one thing Insomniac puts in all it's games recently, it's cool guns. I kinda wish they put in the Disco Gun from Ratchet in RFoM as a joke unlockable or DL. Watching the Chimera dance around like John Travolta? Yeah, that would have been fun!

It was the part right before the first fight with the stalker. It just plops you down in the battlefield against like 20 hybrids that are all hiding behind cover, and a bunch of cover that they destroy. I hated it because it was just hide, zoom, shoot a few rounds, hide, pop out, shoot a few rounds, repeat ad naseum. If you tried to hide behind anything other than the bus, they would destroy all your cover in ten seconds. It doesn't explain what your weapons do, or what's going on. It's a very slow boring part to be plopped down in.

it's a fine part in the context of the game, but for that to be the stand alone part they show you, it sucks. It doesn't show off any enemy AI, creep environments, fast paced action, cool enemies, nada. Just hide, shoot a few rounds, hide, shoot a few rounds, over and over. Really really crappy demo.

Yeah, as Vagabond said, the demo is truly awful. I'm sure a demo like that can hurt sales. I hope Resistance 2 picks a much better portion for the demo.

@The_vagabond7

Good for u, I liked it too. One of the above threads was correct though, It was a good launch title. It did have many small problams and annoyances, whicn seam to be fixed in the comming sequel. Bring on R2 baby!

Oh, and I cannot believe u disliked Uncharted! I would have to say it still is my all time favorite PS3 game so far. Can I ask why?

How far did u get through it?

Uncharted just felt like something from a generation or two ago, with pretty graphics. And even as far as graphics go it falls into the uncanny valley. The colors are nice, but the plants all look so artificial, even if they are really really green. I didn't think it was a bad game by any means, it just felt like a blah game.

Resistance is a great game...its just not terribly original

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

The thing that's awesome about Resistance though, is I had a ton of fun with it (ESP IN CO-OP!), but it was a rushed launch title and they had little bearing on the hardware :P Insomniac has stated numerous times that Resistance 2 is pretty much all them for number 2 and there won't be any real constraints :) If you've seen Ratchet and Clank futures, you know what I mean by handle on hardware :D

If your looking for some vehicular awesomeness, GO BUY WARHAWK!!!!!! You won't be disappointed ;D

From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.

RFOM is a fine title, but it does get better as the game progresses, mostly because the wackier weapons and vehicles are found later on, so stick with it - the best is yet to come. (This also makes the replay a blast.) Also, be sure to pick up the intel pieces. Unlike many other shooters, RFOM has an intelligent and clever backstory.

Resistance online is amazing. The weapons on the game are a lot more complex than you think they are.

The rocket, for instance, doesn't only fire off and blow up like a regular RPG would. You can use the air brake to stop the rocket mid-flight and redirect it (so if you were to see someone around a corner you could fire the rocket, stop the rocket, aim to the left or right, then release it.)

The rocket also fires off miniature homing rockets that will kill anything within close raidus. This was awesome on bigger game where you could get 8 kills all at once without the enemies even seeing you.

Almost every weapon in the game has multiple functions. Looking back, this game is the most fun multiplayer game I've played, even beating Halo 3 in a lot of ways. Halo is definitely more hardcore, but Resistance is more fun IMO.
