I personally think that since the merger with Enix there has been a shocking decline in the quality of square franchises particularrly the once great Final Fantasy. However to offer Blizzard's lineup in exchange really doesn't sound agreeable to me. They are two entirely different formulars. FF main series is turnbased rather than Blizzard's action based. They really aren't the same kind of games. I'd like to see Square pawn off the series to another developer at this point, because it's starting to look like the new Simpson's too me.

Mmm I don't know about that somehow every generation FF gets a lot of new fans while old fans hate the new games;..

The FF fans of the SNES didn't like (or the most) the FF games on PS, while PS FF fans didn't liked (or the most) the games on PS2 etc..

Diablo is too fast paced/button for me I like my RPG slow that is why I prefer FF. I still dont think you can compare those too games. We will see how good Diablo 3 is because Diablo 2 sucked and brought many idiots to the franchise.

By that logic, I am going to hate FFXIII.  I have plenty of faith in FFXIII since the FFX team are making it.
