i bought ratchet and clank and among my ps3 collection it is my least favorite title. Personally i would recommend renting it

I would buy Uncharted before Ratchet.

Actually, I would rent them both. They're both solid games but little more than that. They're definitely not amazing pieces of work if you've been gaming for more than, oh... five minutes. Same goes for Heavenly Sword. They're all worth a playthrough but I wouldn't put my own money down to own them.

 Wow... just wow...

You always seemed so critical in the past about with everything that had to do with a Ps3... that's how you just came off for me. I'm glad you can be a little positive!

OT: R&CF:ToD the game is a beauty. So is Uncharted and Heavenly Sword. They are worth playthroughs. I would lean towards purchase for Unchated and Rent for Heavenly Sword.

Have you played Warhawk or UT3? Those game are multiplayer madness.

I would enjoy Warhawk much much more if more people chatted in-game. As it is now, I find it pretty "meh". There's nothing wrong with the game at all, I just expect voice chat in a team game like that.

You're right, Uncharted, Ratchet, and Heavenly Sword are all beautiful games. I loved the fast-paced parts of R&C, the Indiana Jones feel of Uncharted, and the AfterTouch in Heavenly Sword.

Unfortunately, all three games went away from those pluses at one point or another.

Sometimes I wonder WTF developers are thinking. Ratchet starts off fast and immediately turns into a stuck-in-molasses shooter, Uncharted goes all paranormal with fucking zombie Nazis, and Heavenly Sword doesn't use Kai nearly often enough. Jesus Christ, this shouldn't be rocket science. You've got a good thing going, stick with it or at least use it a little more often later in the game.

@Rocketpig

What you said about Uncharted is spoiler material IMO

It's true what they say about the uncharted demo, it does not do it justice. I almost wasn't going to buy the game after I played the demo, it was terribly uninteresting, but I ended up buying it and I'm glad I did.

As in go buy us some coffee.

Take off your Fanboy goggle RP, R&C is the same gameplay all the way through. It never turns into a "shooter". Hell, you can beat the game with nothing more then a wrench if you feel like it.

Then again, you can do that with BioShock too, and it's a shooter.

Funny how you took three of the best PS3 exclusives before MGS (a game you criticize as well), and called them all "Meh". What's gotten into you?

Actually, Ratchet has a large segment of rails and jumping early in the game. From there, the only part I really liked was the flying (not the space combat, ugh). And if that game ain't a shooter, my heathen ass is the incumbant to the papacy. Well over 80% of that game past the first hour involves guns.

PS. What game don't I criticize? If you can find a game I can't find faults with made in the past five years, I'll give you a cookie. Here's a hint, there's only one.

PPS. I didn't call any of those games "meh". I said that about Warhawk sans voice chat.
