and thers no way you can disprove it since you lack numbers from every european nation that sales it, or can you.

Wondering why people come to the Sony forum to argue with you?

1) People use the hot topics list, they don't specifically navigate to the Sony forum looking for threads to troll.  Personally I don't even pay attention to which forum a thread is in; a thread is a thread.

2) There's a difference between attacking the PS3 and defending VGChartz.  When you start saying the site is wrong and needs to adjust its numbers based on a 10% difference between sold to retailers and sold to customers, expect to get some flak.

I would give Sony the benefit of the doubt as they don't only have access to 3rd party sales tracking but also their own internal tracking.

BTW, there was much higher discrepancy between 3rd party tracking data and the data supplied by Microsoft and Nintendo for the XBox 360 and Wii launches.

Why would you want the PS3 to be less powerful?

If you are referring to electricity usage, it's just a small percentage of what the average HDTV is using. The average PC uses more electrity and it's just 20 Watts or so more than an XBox 360 which requires an additional power source if you hook up a HD DVD drive.

Eh yeah me and my stupid English, meant the use of less power. My LCD TV uses a maximum of 100watts (Sony Bravia), got it on power saving high, and uses less then my older TV. It uses almost 4 times less then the maximum power use of a PS3 (which is 380watts) and got a laptop, thanks ;)

No the PS3 doesn't use 380 Watts, it's more like 180 Watts.

Wikipedia: "The power consumption ranges from 150–200 watts during normal use, despite having a 380 watt power supply.[100] The power supply has power factor correction."

How much this matters to you depends on how much does 1kWh costs you and how much you intend to use your console on average per day.

I don't believe he did say that.

I see a lot of this going around BTW.  Someone says X is wrong, someone else replies "so you think Y is right?"  If I thought Y was right, I would say it.  Putting words into other people's mouths may sound like a good argument, but it's really just a lame attempt to put the original poster on the defensive.
