Delaystation 3 strikes again!

Seriously though misteromar sums it up nicely above.

I think the other reason why it was delayed was to keep MGS4 from cannibalizing it.

The infinite, Moore's Law breaking, power of the Cell processor is once again on display!

This thread leads nicely in to this one...

Sony can officially stop saying the Cell is the future of graphics technology.

Once again we witness the disappointment of the PS3. I remember the Xbox having better graphics than the PS2 even though it came out way later, so the fanboys which keeping using the head start better admit that the PS3 will never be what it was expected to be. Hell I doubt it will ever have better graphics than the Xbox360 for all multiplatform games.

-If the game comes out at the same time as it's counter parts, then people will bitch about the frame rate.
-If the game is delayed so that the frame rate can be made smoother, people will bitch that it's being delayed.

the devs are fucked either way, So I applaud them for delaying the game to make sure it's frame rate is smoothed out, rather than just release the game as is, and have it end up being crap like Enemy Territory: Quake Wars when compared to the 360 version

I think it's a good decision all around. No point in releasing it at the same time as MGS4, and a delayed game is eventually good as the saying goes. Better to have a much better game a little late than a crappy one now when you're not even going to play it because you're busy with the hype machine MGS4.
