Anti-americanism is childish.

You don't look smart by saying that.

And for me, the US administration is Anti-Chavez...

Most of the democratic world is anti-Chavez. It sounds like Shido, who lives in Venezuela, is anti-Chavez too.

Yeah, and I assume that you're talking about the same "Democratic world" that invaded Irak...

Looks like Fox news is doing a great job :)

pwned? Yeah, more like great job at changing the subject.

I didn not mention the US, but since you went there: Yes the "Democratic World" did invade Iraq. There were other countries besides the US that invaded Iraq and even more countries joined in after the invasion. If you like having your government spoon feeding you your ideas, then that's up to you. If you want your rulers to be hot dog vendors, well then, good luck with that.

Like I said earlier on this thread, it will not end with the TV station. Chavez is going to keep taking away civil liberties one by one, including videogames. Do you really want those people to suffer that fate? I don't think Shido does and he is there witnessing this happen. People are already making a mass exodus from that country.

I guess Aljazeera is doing a great job in your country.

Hey konnichiwa, if you're not going to contribute to the conversation, then I suggest you STFU. Thanks.

Did I mentioned the US? I don't think so. If semoene is being "feeded" ideas, excuse me but  I'm not the one talking about "democratic world". You need a little bit more than just calling yourself democratic to be so.

And I don't remember saying that Chavez was democratic. But since I know how democratic is the actual US administration, I choose Chavez instead of Bush. It's that easy.

Oh, about Al Jazeera: It's as shitty as Fox news, except it's in arabic... Don't worry for me or my country, we don't love Al Jazeera, and Al Jazeera doesn't love us.  But even with that, we never planned to throw bombs on it's HQ. I think it have something to do with the fact that we're not in the "democratic world"

We have had a lot of stories on Chavez in the news recently (i.e. our weeknight, daily news - especially SBS, which tends to cover world affairs more than just local ones).

I'm a little disappointed  by the recent developments (to say the least). Being "anti-US" is one thing, but being a blatent and open dictator is another (i.e. hello Zimbabwe!)

If you would rather have Chavez, then go ahead. Have your civil liberties taken away.

If it wasn't Chavez and his cronies taking from the system it would just be another group of crooks doing the exact same thing.  At least Chavez is sharing some of the booty with the poor people many of the other crooks in that area of the World don't/didn't.

 Patriot Act ?

If someone would have told me during the 80s about the Patriot Act, Guantanamo Bay, and some of the other things going on I wouldn't have believed it and would have thought it was some unbelievable and corny science fiction movie (you know the type where they show the future and it's nothing like you'd believe it will be).

 But the 80s had Reagan

Show me something in the Patriot Act that has removed American's civil liberties.

The Patriot Act was voted on, as was the war. Shutting down TV station in Venezuela? Not voted on. Private property becoming government property in Venezuela? Not voted on.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like the Patriot Act. However, we have the ability to vote against it a limit its power. Do you think Chavez listened to anyone else when he shut the TV station down?
