The only thing that matters is my opinion. not an "industry" so dont throw that desprate bullshit at me. and In my opinon the games I listed rank higher than the 360 games.

Viva Pinata - Incredibly annoying.
Halo - Whats that? starcraft FPS? NO WAI!
Crackdown - I found myself climbing ferris wheels and staying in the off road arena rather than completing the game.
Gears of War - Overrated. Weak story. 4 on 4 multiplayer. Small maps. Not only was it a weak story but it did not explain a god damn thing. Being left out in the dark is fine... unless it's something really big being left out.
Shadow Run - HAHAHAHAHAHAHA < enough said
Hell Raising - Fun for 30 minutes. Had the same problem as crack down. I found myself doing ridiculous things with zombies than finishing the game.
Bioshock - just wasn't for me
Mass Effect - Doesn't interest me < I'll admit this is a game on my list that I havent played yet.

I think the only game I finished on my list was Gears of War... Now tell me that those games are triple A's for me.

Lol. Well I do not like Microsoft all thanks to Windows Vista that screws everything up for us all. Yeah we have to accept that Windows vista will only be sold from 1st July 2008. No more Windows Xp for sale.

Console gaming. 360 is not for everyone. Same can be said about the Wii and PS3, those two consoles are not for everyone either. Console gaming all comes down to personal taste.

PC gaming is great too providing you have a good computer capable of running all the latest games and yeah there is Steam, cheap genuine downloads over the net of games for PC gamers.

See here's your basic problem. To make games that challenge and entertain veteran hardcore gamers means making them virtually inaccessible to the new or more recreational (casual if you must) gamer. If you make games simple enough to attract the new and more casual gamer the veteran gamers will find them not challenging enough or interesting. Nintendo created a whole new system so everyone started from the beginning and they used very simple games to get them onboard, Wii Sports for example. Did you ever notice that there is no Wii Sports 2 or Wii Play 2? Never will be, at least not made by Nintendo. There's a lot of half baked mini-game wantabees made by desperate publishers trying to tap into a market they don't understand. Nintendo is already gradually moving their users up-market towards more complex and sophisticated games. They know exactly what and when they are doing everything. It's a strategy they announced back in 2004 only nobody was listening. All the industry "experts" had already dismissed them as a factor. When high definition graphics are truly mainstream, guess what? The processor and video processors will be so cheap they will be able to replace them, with total backward compatibility, and still keep their cost down and profitability up.Ah the hell with it, you're not going to understand this either. Trying to explain it is a little like trying to teach a pig to sing. "It's a waste of time and it annoys the pig."  Your logic is there but I think your singling out casual games liek SingStar, Buzz, LittleBigPlanet, Go Sports, PixelJunk Monsters, Poker, and a bunch of other titles.

You speaking for some 120 million PS2 owners, 110 PS1 owners who skipped a generation, and i will throw in the xbox owners, and GC owners, and maybe even some PC owners that they aren;t flocking to the PS3. Well I;m sorry gramps but you don't have the voice of that many people. You can not speak for that many people because you never spoke every single on of them. They aren't all flocking to the Wii. They also aren't all flocking to the PC, PS3, or 360. They are deciding because they are waiting for games that interest them, and price cuts.

BC is obviously not half as important as you are saying either because even though its a jice bonus, I have the 60GB model, I have no used the BC since I bought GOW2. Not everyone cares about BC and if they do they can buy a PS2. Sony has proven that BC isnt that important. How? well look at the sales. The PS3 is on route for 2nd place without it. 

Your just like the rest of your entire generation. You think you know the world. Guess what YOU DONT. Let the people who understand the world better and will fix your generation's screw ups for our children run this world.

BC is not important because there is PS2. PS2 is like $120 brand new in the US. PS3 owners will increase rapidly when: MGS 4, LBP, FF 13, GT 5, God of War 3, Tekken 6, Resident Evil 5, Socom 4, etc all make an appearance within 12 to 18 months from now.

So if the 360 has the games and the online and the Wii is still spanking it in sales, it clearly doesn't say much for the games OR the online, now does it?

It's convenient how he cites accurate data but disregards the context. If you look at annual sales, the 360 should have the lowest of all three consoles despite its exclusivity as the next gen console for an entire year. And as for a hardware price drop, I always thought the reason the 360 sells better was their lower price, but now this guys acts as if the PS3 is cheaper. And as the the catchup growth of the other two consoles, the gap is widening between the 360 and the Wii while it is closing between it and the PS3.

Now that's about as believable as the M$ article on CNET. This year Nintendo is going to reveal that the Wii really has a fast mult-core processor and 1080p capability, and will be the only console this Gen to be do 1080p @ 100FPS while you're waving your arms about.

Who said anything about graphics? If that's all it was, I'd be disappointed. If graphics were really that important I don't believe the Wii would be stomping the gazoobies out of its HD competitors. Or the DS stomping the higher resolution PSP. Or PC gaming be on the ropes since it's capable of the highest resolution of all.
So far HD has done a lot more to increase development costs than increase sales.

Great strategy games: ... you got me here ... the wii has great strategy games, but both are made by nintendo

Great jrpgs:  ... and you got me again ... maybe Opoona, and in the future definitive Tales of Symphonia (but both are not released here, yet.) 

Great FPS games: Red Steel, Medal of honor: heroes, Elebits

Great 3d platform games: Sonic and the secret rings, Dewy's Adventure

Great 3rd person action games: Bully

Great games which fit in none of your categories: Trauma Centre, Endless Ocean, Kororinpa, Pangya, Zack & Wiki

The above collection only shows games, which in my personal opinion are great. I know that not everybody will share my taste. (especially Alien Syndrom and Red Steel ...) Of course, if I would list future game releases and nintendo releases, than the list would be more impressive.
