Is it just me or is it highly plausible that an embargo has been placed on reviewers that only reviewers that release a certain ranking are allowed to review the game pre-launch?

I have heard of this happening in the past and it would explain why a relatively low number of extremely high ranking reviews have been released and nothing else.


Of course the game could also just be that fucking amazing but it then confuses me why only 20 or so reviewers have reviewed the game by now.

You guy's sure as hell didn't have a problem with those 10's SMG got. It was stealth trolling when I said no game was perfect...

Now, maybe you guy's will understand that these are, in fact, bullshit scores. GTAIV is nowhere near good enough to get these type of scores; no game ever made is. It's ridiculous how reviewers are handing 10's based on hype rather than the quality of the game. This game, like SMG, has obvious flaws that should not be ignored when reviewing these game's.

To any doubters of GTA, just play it.
Everything becomes clear and your abilities are gained and learned, after about 3 hours of play time. (or at least the game gets better)

Just play it before you judge it, because IMO it is absolutely fantastic.

I have played until 6 am the past 2 nights. So great. OMG So good.

GTA isn't reality by a long shot. And it is the most F.U.n i have had in a long time.

On a serious note why can't people just accept the fact that people like different types of games. The fact that games like GTA4 and Mario Galaxy can both be successful is a good thing and the more variety in gaming the better.  As some people have already mentioned the more threads like these are created the more it appears that Nintendo fans are scared of the success of GTA4 for some reason. Just enjoy the console and games you have and don't worry about GTA4.

All the scores give it high praise, no doubt there and I would trust the views, as they are so many in numerous...except one that I've seen. I've seen the 360 version on my housemates 360 (and small LCD probably not HD but still) and a perfect 10 it is not, not in my view anyway, then games like Uncharted should be higher. (Keeping in mind this is a 360 owner who actually asked when I was playing Uncharted "Is this a Playstation 2 game?"....) But I can be no judge of anything else.

When i played a game of gta series ( i played yesterday to gtaiv) i bored after a few minutes because i think that control suck

@ OP this thread fails you do not know what you are talking about. Hey what if I wrote a thread claiming how all the Nintendo games such as SMG, OoT, etc were over rated? Wii Justice League would tear me apart.

my god people 10 outta 10, is a opinion. The game is the best it can get at this current time.
