That is probably because the announced games for wii have actually been released, the only reason a company would have to promote/hype up a game for next year is to let their investors know that they have something to look forward to over the horizon in order to fill in for what was supposed to already be released

 

I do agree with your analysis of the OP though ... and the jist of the discussion is actually pointless in itself, since the only conclusion it'll all come to is "we have discovered after days of argument, that people apparently have unique opinions"


That's the point, they've released all their biggest hits and it's still not enough for hardcore gamers. The PS3 games I listed appeal more to the hardcore crowd and most of them have already been released -

Call of Duty 4

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Uncharted

The Orange Box

Devil May Cry 4

Assassin's Creed

Burnout Paradise

Unreal Tournament 3

Gran Turismo 5: Prologue

Gran Theft Auto IV (next week)

Metal Gear Solid 4 (next month)

The last 2 are right around the corner and we know there are many more to come. 

If hardcore gamers are going to buy the Wii, we need proof that it's going to be a worthy investment, Nintendo need to announce some new games and fast. A new Zelda would help.

 

I could debate with you with that but I wont, this thread is a mistake for me. I shouldnt make harsh words especially if its only a mater of opinion, but for constructive reasons its actually good for Nintendo to release the tier titles right away like super smash bros., that way  the ps3 and 360 cant gain on the lead like what happening right now. As for core gamers must have many core games to satisfy them, do you know over saturation? Its also he reason why many switch to PCs than in consoles because consoles dont have  anything new to the gamer. I have a pc rental shop and most people here are playing pcs than playing in consoles. WHY? Because PCs have what consoles have and more. Thats why Wii invented to cater all audience and not over saturate the market. BTW with that games in the list how many there are PC ports or multiplats?

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

 

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

 

E3 2010- Tape runs out

It's matter of preference.
Not everyone wants to play 15 different Marios.

It got old for me after a few months.
And I'm not interested in Marios.

Not to mention that it looks crap on my 1080p TV.

I only turn it on now when friends come over and if they want to play it.

 Dragon007, speaking for hardcore gamers everywhere. Just because you don't like the Wii's library, please don't write it off as terrible for everyone. And If you want to play the port card with RE4 and TP, I can easily say I can play most of the games you listed on my PC.

The Wii already has many quality titles. A lot of interesting new games have been announced and Nintendo hasn't even given their line-up for the rest of the year. But it seems no matter how large the Wii's library grows, you'll always have people claiming it's lacking.

I still dont get it though, only few select cable channels have HD signal. Why use HD anyway? And the price of blu ray even the disk blank one are expensive.

dang..

honestly, i do not care about any particular console.

i support them equally for different reasons, and i do not care if any one of them die.

not that i was hoping for Nintendo to die sometime ago, but i would love to see MP3 for Xbox 360 or Zelda:TP for PS3.
because i know that Nintendo makes excellent games.

Sony, i support all around: games, consoles, electronic in general and especially their phones.
if they die, that's all good too...
they don't have many 1st-party games, so i don't know if they'll ever be a 3rd-party developer...
and i highly doubt they'll merge w/ any other systems out there, considering the history.......

i'm sorry to say but bill gates will never let Xbox die
i do like playing halo 3 (but let's be honest Halo 3 is just another FPS w/ enhanced graphics, etc)   heh

besides, a lot of games on PS3 and Xbox360 comes out on PC anyway

overall, i think Nintendo would be the coolest if they ever die because of their games


right now, i do enjoy my wii.
i just wished 3rd-party devs would care enough to actually develop a real Wii game, AND i wish Nintendo would at least co-publish or co-develop some 3rd-party games just because Nintendo themselves are the only ones who actually know how to sell a game on their system.

i do have an Xbox 360 and i have COD4 AND Halo3 (hey, i happen to enjoy both!!) because of my friends......

and i am working to buy a PS3 (i hate to say i don't have it yet)... but right now is not the best time anyway.
they don't have many good games.
Besides, SquareEnix seems to make their greatest games for Sony for some reason
i'll buy PS3 when they release GT5 and FF13

PS: just like TheSource, i feel that Nintendo has something up their sleeve since they have released all their AAA games.
i'm guessing and hoping it is the Hardcore Wii will full HD/DVD version.
i'm crossing my fingers that somehow it is an add-on not a completely separate Wii... because i'd have to buy it
