On one hand, it is a good idea to know and understand your investments well. A gamer investing in the gaming sector makes sense in this way. On the other hand, one needs to be able to be emotionally disconnected from their investnment in order to make sound decisions. So, a fan of a company shouldn't invest in it.

This is actually why I don't invest in Nintendo. Investors overreact way too much, way too often and don't know Nintendo or the market itself well enough to balance it out. The problem is acerbated by analysts who also do not understand Nintendo or the market itself giving bad advice to investors.

And you said it well. I am not a fan actually, I don't own a Switch because I am not enough attracted by it.

My last console was a WiiU for Zelda BotW.
