Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Gets Labo VR Support

Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Gets Labo VR Support

This dropped from Nintendo yesterday, so I'm sorry if you already have a thread about it.

It looks really impressive, especially on stages like Plateau Tower or New Donk City that have much bigger backgrounds.

Who else would like to try Smash Bros. with Labo VR? :)

I saw an RGT85 video on this yesterday. He was skeptical of the application to Smash Bros, but he was just going off a rumor site and obviously hadn't seen this official video from Nintendo. It apparently has exactly what he was hoping for, being able to view the stage in VR without having to perform the battle yourself while doing it. Although it shows you can fight the CPU in VR, the video puts the highlight on view the stages while the CPU battles itself. So, his initial concern about it should be put at ease by that.

I was skeptical before seeing the trailer. Seems Nintendo learned their lesson from the Virtual Boy fiasco.

It would be cooler if you didn't need the VR to play it.

Can you see saved replays of actual battles with it? That'd be pretty cool.

So you can't use this mode while playing against other human players?

But being able to view replays of matches in VR sounds like a neat feature, if it allows you to do that.

From what I understood you can only watch random CPU battles, which would be a huge missed opportunity. Hopefully they add replays to it later, not that I'm planning on getting the Labo VR anyway so I shouldn't really care.

Yeah, I don't plan on getting Labo VR either, but it would be nice if you could view your own replays as well. Seems like an obvious thing they could do, but for some reason haven't yet.
