Forums - Politics Discussion - US Midterm Elections 2018- Dems take the House, GOP Keeps the Senate.

Who did you vote for?

GOP Rep and GOP Senator 20 30.77%

Democrat Rep and Democrat Senator 38 58.46%

GOP Rep and Democrat Senator 0 0%

Democrat Rep and GOP Senator 4 6.15%

Third Party/Other 3 4.62%

Total:65

Shocked democrats are still leading in Texas. With almost half the vote in, its looking bad for Cruz.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

I'm saying the Republicans end with 54 Senate seats and the House will be hair thin for either party.

21 GOP seats are being lead by Democrats, looking to be a good night for team blue

Okay, is anyone watching FiveThirtyEight's projections? I'm honestly baffled. Republicans keeping the house started out as a 1 in 7 chance, forty minutes ago it was 1 in 15, but now it's 3 in 5. If your model is going to be so volatile, what's even the point?

Im waiting for the NYT scale to go live. They were right when they predicted Trump would win in 2016.

I'd be shocked if Beto wins. A lot of the vote in conservative areas are not in yet anyway.

4 republicans leading in dem districts so the dems still need 4 districts to get to 21.

The rural areas aren't in yet. Once it is, the lead will be cut drastically.

GOP up
Hous: 70-66
Senate- 43-36

Stfu Van Jones. Why is this guy still employed by CNN?

70% in Texas and he's still up by 2 points. That is very bad news. Texas is always a democrat lead early, but I've never seen it this close late in the night. Doesn't look like the GOP will lose the senate, and the house won't be a total disaster, but its still shocking nonetheless.

Yeah Beto has a path to victory but ehre are some GOP districts that have less than 20% reporting. Texas will be close for sure.
