More FE characters though, yawn. However, Chrom has mix of moves and isn't just a copy of Ike.

It's an echo fighter, so just an elaborated skin not a new fighter.

Also i just realise and i'm worried, isn't the blurred out mode just an online thing and that's why they can't talk about it since we still have to talk about the online features ?

So the debate right now on streams between pros is the Smash meter.

No way this becomes the standard.  It's a neat feature, and maybe for some side tournaments, but final smashes are just too imbalanced for competitive play.

Well, no. Echo fighters do have some slightly different stats/effects than their originators. IE: Lucina's sword does damage differently from marth's and the stats/effects of some of Dark Pit's moves are different.

I am reasonably certain that Daisy is slower but stronger than Peach. I could be wrong, though.

Well, I liked Inkling. They look fun to play. Oh, right, that was months ago. I didn't like any of it, tbh. I loved the idea of Simon, but slow character killed it for me.

I really hope they announce something better before launch. I don't even know if I want the game anymore.

Lol wtf my dude "I'm not buying the game because Simon Belmont is slow".

Well, that's one way to interpret what I said. Incorrectly. I took the liberty of bolding it to make it more clear for you.

I may be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure they said that was an option, not the default. I doubt they'd make such a fundamental change to the game to ruin tournament play.

Smash meter should've replaced smash ball tbh. This feature looks so good.

So I'm assuming we've actually seen either parts of the story mode, or the Rathalos boss fight is something that can happen in Classic Mode, or Event Mode is in the game (don't know if that was confirmed yet?). Are we also going to see Monster Hunter as a fighter? Seems odd for Rathalos to be the only representation in a fighting game, especially considering Monster Hunter was such a major feature on 3DS and is probably getting a dedicated Switch version.

Who else and what else can they confirm for this game? Event Mode, Smash the Targets, Home-Run mode, and All-Star mode are probably in there in some fashion. My guess is that the remaining mode blanked out on the menu is a story mode of some kind, and that the cut-scenes we've seen so far are a part of that, given the odd character match-ups we've seen (Samus, Mario and Mega Man encountering Ridley, Luigi being rescued by the Belmonts) - and that Dracula and Rathalos appear as bosses in that mode.

What other fighters are going to make the cut? My guess is that Monster Hunter has a higher chance now, but I'm not sure who else could join given the sheer range of what's already there. Maybe someone from Arms, and Rex/Pyra from Xenoblade 2? How big is the roster now?

No idea how you could feel that way, though. If you've liked smash in the past, you should like this game. It has all the characters and by the looks of it all or most of the stages. Even if you don't like any of the new stuff, there's plenty of other stuff to make you happy.

If you don't like what they showed, then maybe you're just not a fan of smash.

I can see why you'd feel that way, but that isn't going to do it for me. It has Classic Mode, which I've been playing since 1999. What else is there? Nothing. I'll just go play at a friend's house if multiplayer is all there is. No reason to buy it.

However, there is a chance that mode they blurred could be good, though...
