Some great signings for Liverpool. Shaqiri for £13m is a steal considering the sorts of prices players are going for these days. I'd be happy with a domestic trophy, top four finish and a good European run. I'm always pessimistic with my predictions and outlook for forthcoming seasons, but I feel quite good about this one.

Shaqiri for 13 million is laughably cheap, in my opinion. Great player!

Godin to Juventus, no reason to think they won't keep dominating the Serie A, they've been rock solid defensively for a decade or more now, so organized and compact, yet so mobile and awake. I think they're major contenders for a CL trophy this season, it's time someone ended Real Madrid's run, and with Zidane gone and the team having to adjust to new times and no Ronaldo to spearhead the offensive, it could be a struggle to keep up the pace. It doesn't make things easier that Ramos is getting old, Bale has been out of sorts and they still need a proper striker, Benzema is just not that good.

This season's CL will be a real spectacle for sure!

..... Wait... what have you done? Why did you kill the 2000 page thread for this one? I want my mega thread.

:(

Hmm, pie.

NiKKoM is gone, it's time to move on.

Besides, this is going to become a 3000 page thread, maybe one day, in the distant future perhaps!

So the Mega Thread is no more. The biggest thread on the entire forum (right?).

Sad times.

Hmm, pie.

Isn't the Vita thread (much) bigger?

*checks* Bugger.... er Yeah, but no one like the Vita. Everyone likes Football.

Hmm, pie.

So on topic.

Players in for Saints:
Jannik Vestergaard - 18mil apparently
Angus Gunn - 13mil a keeper and looking like a second keeper. Forster really is out of favour, once England second with caps. Poor guy.

Out:
Carillo - We only signed him in Jan for like 19 mil, gone already, on loan.
Boufal - Loan as well, too inconsistant.
Tadic - Ajax 10mil, he's had a good time, sad to see him go.

Hmm, pie.

They brought in Elyounoussi and Armstrong as well. They've been pretty active in the market actually.

Yes, yes, of course, I knew we had more. Armstrong is a replacement for Davis I think (dudes getting old), Ely for Tadic.

Things are looking up for Saints, decent signings, yellow away kit etc. Shame we still have Mark Hughes in charge.

Hmm, pie.

We talked about this in the other thread actually, I thought it was a consensus. It's just nice to have an active thread with an equally active OP.

Must have been a while back and I missed it. No worries, what done is done. I'll just be secretly bitter about it. :P

Hmm, pie.

Everton have signed Richarlison from Watford for £35mil which could increase. Watford bought him for 11.2mil last year. that's 24 mil plus profit in a year.

Nice bit of business that.

Hmm, pie.

I'm really excited for the club season to begin. I hope Middlesbrough can get promoted, that's all I'm asking for.

Im going to have a good laugh if ajax doesnt become national champion this year
