Since Xneoblade Torna The Golden Country is getting a seperate physical release does it count as a separate game and not merely DLC

I finally bought Captain Toad after skipping it on WiiU. Physical like always, just to be clear.
Also added two other 3rd party in physical format in my collection.

That's a question I planned to answer in the next monthly summary, but there's no reason to make it a mystery when the question comes up earlier.

Since the Xenoblade 2 expansion is released as a standalone game and therefore doesn't necessitate ownership of Xenoblade 2, it counts as a separate game and will get its own dual-column in the spreadsheet. Everyone who has already purchased or will purchase the Xenoblade 2 expansion pass can submit it as a digital game.

DLC for other titles will not count as separate game, just as before. Only a standalone release like explained above would change that. And to address Game of the Year Editions and the like where the original release and all or most DLC is included, such editions won't be treated as different games; the only concrete example as of now is Snipperclips (Plus) where no difference is being made between the original digital release with or without DLC and the enhanced physical release; regardless of what was bought, it is the same game at its core.

The Golden Country won't be added to the spreadsheet before September, so neither physical preorders or digital prepurchases will be accounted for if mentioned in August, simply because it would skew the LTD statistics by the end of August. Preorders and prepurchases that were a month or more away have usually been ignored by me in the past as well, so this is no special treatment.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

Got a physical copy of Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition the other day.

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

Well I'm in the third-party one, might as well join this too. I have, in order of purchase:

Splatoon 2
Thumper
Super Mario Odyssey
Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon
Sonic Mania
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Hollow Knight
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
Okami HD

All digital. I also bought the Octo Expansion, not sure if that counts for anything.

If only physical games count, then none. The last physical copy of a game I ever bought was Mario Kart 7 on 3DS. All my Wii U and Switch games are digital. In fact, I am not even sure why I have a few physical 3DS games, but I stopped buying them early on.

On the other hand, I do have an ample amount of digital content on Switch.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

It doesn't count for anything.

Digital games do count. A detailed explanation is in the original post.
