-First Mini Direct is not same thing like normal Nintendo Direct, Mini Directs are shorter than normal Nintendo Direct and they don't have big new announcements. Mini Direct are in less than a month followed by regular Nintendo Direct.

And we basically saw that with last Switch Mini Direct, short Direct without big or new announcements, all news were ports/remasters and updates/DLCs, with only one new game announcement that's actually smaller game (Mario Tennis). And thats why we didn't had Direct announcements around 2 days before DIrect like we have for regular Directs and instead Nintendo just announced and release in same time Mini Direct.

-Second with Switch we have plenty of announced games that are released only 2-3 months before launch, games like Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Rocket League, Pokemon Tournament DX, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Doom, La Noire, Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2, Bayonetta 1 and 2, are all unannounced only 2-3 months before launch.

So with those things on mind, we can definitely expect another normal Direct around March (even it's possible that we will have it even sooner than that), and more Switch announcements of releases for 1H of 2018. (mostly for Q2 of 2018.), with bigger and some new games, even if we can expect some 3rd party announcements outside Direct like we had before.

So Switch is undoomed again? Thanks for the definitive confirmation that maybe something will be released in the first half of the year.

Mate for some reason, people just love to jump all over ninty every chance they get. Its even called a "mini direct", just a chance for ninty to keep fans informed on a few projects nothing major.

There is a lot of uneeded damage control ..... or self insurance on this side of the forum.

I talking about few points and facts that are overlooked, if you don't agree you can write why.

Kind of contradicting yourself here. So full directs follow mini directs in less than a month, yet we won't get a full direct for another 2 months?

I think a regular direct might occur around the same time as Nintendo release their latest financials. Its at the end of this month I believe?

We didn't get big or more new announcements, because they don't exist. Not because Nintendo was holding them back.
Unlike other Mini Directs, this one was a worldwide broadcast and was not game-specific Direct... just like your regular Nintendo Direct.

If we look at the 1st half schedule, you'll see that they keep their m.o. of one big title per month, at least.
And if you try to fill June's empty place with Hyrule Warriors, the first half is pretty much booked.


As i told you in another thread, this Mini Direct was different and you can't act like it wasn't.
