So Switch stock being available wasn't an issue for PS4 during October and November, but became a problem in December??? Because November was in fact the best month ever...

So you are making a lot of strange condictions to say Switch have impacted PS4 sales a lot, but only for December.

You are the only one talking about december. Effect was as a whole, not a specific month. Stop making things up.

PS4 was up YOY until December came, so your point is self defected if you aren't talking about December only.

You just proved you didn't read most of what I wrote. It's not about being up or down, but selling less than it would if the switch didn't exist.

By a marginal degree. But let's say hypothetically the Switch didn't release, what would you have expected ps4 sales in 2017 to be?

20.2m is a massive increase on 2016, I have a hard time believing that in the absence of the Switch it would have been much higher. Thus my belief that the Switch's affect on PS4 sales is marginal, and vice-versa.

How many of those 13m Switch purchases would have been a PS4? I'd wager not many.

It was down like 300k or less? in 2017 december..... a huge part of that was just sony not bothering to keep prices as low as xbox.
I think that had a bigger effect than the Switch did, to impact its sales.

I believe sony could have done as well as in 2016, if they had kept prices down abit longer, they choose profit instead of unit sales.

20.2 m isn't a massive increse over 2016. ps4 has kept yoy sales very close to each other.

I'd expect 1.5-2 million more for ps4. Observe 2018 and you will see it more clearly.

Yes I read what you said.

Still didn't say if you will accept a perma ban if PS4 sell more than 13M in 2018.

Also you haven't provided any real evidence about how much PS4 would sell over if Switch didn't launch. And falled back to December being down YOY while ignoring the other moths. Yours argument were all out of place.

Down 300k when the rest of the year is up by millions imply a much bigger difference than 300k. It would have been up by 1m+. Did 2016 also get official $199 for BF and $249 for part of december? Because those price deals seem better for 2017.

So you have dialed back to consider only the drop in December...

Sometimes its not just how low something was cut in price.... but how long it stayed that way.
In 2017, they didnt keep prices low for long, in 2016 they probably tried harder than 2017 december.
