Forums - Microsoft Discussion - PUGB on XB1 drops to 4fps, issues also on XB1X- Digital Foundry

I remember back when the O.J. Simpson verdict came in. Chris Rock said "White people too mad. Black people to happy."

That's how I feel about PUBG right now. PlayStation fans are too eager to find any negatives. Xbox fans are too eager to overlook any negatives. Somewhere in the middle is where I think we should be.

How so? I think most who played it aknowledged the performance issues and negatives. The difference is Xbox fans actually played it heh. And how is anyone supposed to have a proper discussion about it here anyway?

That seems about precise.

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Even the ones saying the only place they had any framedrop was in the lob?

Don't know If anyone said that. My experience with X is that after landing the framerate is mostly ok. That's what DF said on their vid too. I find the texture pop-in hurts the gameplay experience more. Haven't tried to mess with Xbox settings yet.

It’s got some issues, not nearly as bad as people make it out to be though.

Id be angry if it was a complete $60 title. It’s a very good early access title. People in here bitching have no idea how bad they can get.

I speak from experience. Early in this thread, you can see a lot of posts from me. From excitedly downloading to playing it and liking it to getting a refund. Happy for those who are okay with the game but after about five rounds, I started feeling ripped off.

Discuss away. I'm not stopping anybody. Just giving my take on things. I'm actually enjoying the comments, even though they get a little hostile every now and then. As for Xbox fans, I think I qualify!

My last round (before getting a refund) was my best round. I'd made it to the top 20, figured out most of the game mechanics, and gotten a few kills. Even took on a guy with a machine gun with my bare hands. Didn't kill them though. They ran away and I healed myself. I was feeling great until some guy ran me over with a car while I was running across a field.

Before that, I'd hopped on a motorcycle. Unfortunately, I was on the back seat and couldn't get off. Some guy saw me struggling, hopped into the driver's seat, and drove off with me. He wrecked the bike and killed me.

I can see the potential and the creative things that could happen but, for my money, it's still too early to play. I do plan on coming back for more, though.

Well there are some saying like it doesn't have any drop at all after the parachute part. Just read the thread.

It's called the PC. :P

It sold more on PC? Or doesn't PC exist in comparisons?

Still I see no relevance to the point, is something like the sales determining the quality?

That is most certainly not what I was alluding to.
And sales most certainly is not an indicator of a titles quality.

This thread has gone waay off topic, let's keep the discussion about PUGB.

And like I said in the thread actually dedicated to the update, it’s a good start to something resembling an actual GT game. Still not sure what any of this has to do with PUBG though.

Because both are game preview titles. One just costs a full $60.

How are you finding the game? The dvr workaround seemed to improve my framerates and texture pop in.
